Well heres one of those cases. The story: A Student at a High School in California, has gotten his parents to sue a well known History teacher at Capistrano Valley High School in Tustin. His charges are as follows: the teacher, James Corbett, allegedly said "Highly inappropriate comments" toward the students regarding Christianity. The exact charges are hypocritical in that, he was comparing Muslim people who have been ridiculed to Christians. The ironic part about all these charges is that his class has the highest AP pass rate at the school which is way over the state standard.
Well heres what I think about this article. First off the charges are for lack of a better word dumb. If a teacher has proven results, and was defending the Muslim culture by saying that Christians would do worse in effect, the case should be dropped. Considering I wasn't obviously there or don't know what happened, I can not comment on what he actually said, but from what the articles have told me and various people I know who go to that school say he didn't do anything wrong. I think this is some kid trying to get fame and get in the news. The student and his parents want to get the school to fire the best APMEH at the school, which is obviously a mistake if its better than the state standard. People I know will be attending a protest to support him this Wednesday, so I encourage you all to support them.
To me this is hypocritical in every way, because if a teacher were to say something about another religions such as Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or Sikhism and a kid was offended the case wouldn't turn out this big. The article clearly says that he was defending Muslims by saying that other groups like Christians are more prone to do acts like rape. Well thats all I have to say about this article. Comment what you think about it:

The second article of the day is on a funnier note. As many of you know, and cough cough as many of you hate cough cough, the Bush Administration is in power right now. To some people this man has ruined our country, and to others he has um.... killed our country. Well in light of the recent scandal with the CIA tapes, there is another thing that proves that our government is hiding information from us. This article shows the amount of paper shredding that has been done by our government. Since Bush has been in office this number has gone exponentially higher until the point where it hit, 600% higher than before Bush took office. The amount of money they spend doing this is in the millions and is ridiculous.
Well heres the article, laugh at your own will:

The third article tonight is well sort of weird. First off there are two things weird with this article is first that it has do with cloning and second that it had to do with changing genes. This Video/Article talks of Scientists in South Korea cloning a cat, but not just any cat, a cat that they manipulated the genes of thus causing weird effects. I'm not going to give away the secret, but watch this video and you will be intrigued.
The video brings up a good controversy though. The controversy of Man vs. God. Does man have the power to clone something giving it life? To me if this is done a humane way and has no effects to both the clone and the clone's counterpart and is not a painful experience I think this could be a worthwhile expirement. Currently I believe the U.S. is banning cloning but it could be the future. The only other comment I have for this video is that I hope that the cats were in no way harmed. Well its pretty interesting so check it out:

The video doesn't work for me, but is it about the cats that glow? That bothered me because there is no scientific betterment from that, its just them having fun going "Ooh, we cloned a cat that glows for human enjoyment!" I disagree with the use of animals in science in the first place, but this is just extremely pointless.
